Love is the language of heaven. It should be the language of the saints on the earth. Do you love your spouse, your brethren, and all people, even your enemies? This is the only language heaven knows.

When you see Jesus every part of His being speaks of perfect love.  His hands and feet were scarred for thee. His head and face was pierced and thorned and slapped for thee. His back was whipped and lashed for thee. Enter into this holy attitude for all men, and you will start loving everyone you look at.

The work of love is the greatest miracle of transformation that can manifest in a man. Paul prayed that the saints would know the breadth and length, and depth and height of that love that passes knowledge. That you would be rooted and grounded in it. He called it the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19-22). It has become one of my constant meditations these days. It is the sole requirement and command of every saint. Grace has put it in your heart.

I have a dear friend and former student of mine that is walking a similar path to me these days. It is the path of a greater transformation toward love. It flows like water from a heart that has been enlightened. It is liquid fire that melts your heart over and over again.

Recently this friend of mine traveled alone to the Middle East on a special assignment to reach the unreached. He  conducted pastors’ meetings and just put his arms around them and hugged then and wept over them. Many of them broke down and cried because they’ve never known the manifestation of love like this.

My friend told me he can’t stop weeping. I told him the same. I’m in that similar place. I called out a word of knowledge recently in a meeting for suicidal people, and then when a good number raised their hands I broke down and wept. I had no idea there were so many, but the Father knew.

On that trip my friend went into a remote Muslim village, a dangerous area, and again just loved on the people. Soon Islamic radicals came in seeking to kill the believers. The leaders he was with pulled him out quickly, but he cried because he didn’t want to leave the people in that sort of danger. He told me he had no fear. Why? Because perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).

Love breaks forth from a man when there is a breaking of his outer shell like the breaking of the alabaster box by the woman  who saw Someone in the room no one else did. She saw His humanity but went beyond it to see the beauty and the majesty of His Person and His love. When love rules your heart you see and hear Jesus more clearly in varied situations, and you say what you hear Him say and do what you see Him do. You also  see others through the eyes of Jesus. It is the removal of scales from your eyes that block the image of Jesus and gives birth to the unveiling of the nature of His love.

It has been my greatest testimony during our recent trials and I repeatedly say this not to boast, but to glorify the Lord and edify you and provoke you to love and good works. I  see Him now in a way I haven’t seen Him before. I love people now in a way I did not love them before. Trials can do that to you if you’ll allow them to break you of any hardness. Fasting can help greatly in this regard. It is like a big booster to transform you quicker into love.

Remember this: Grapes must be crushed to produce fine wine. Olives must be pressed to produce rich oil. Precious seeds that produce great fruit grow in darkness. Diamonds are formed and made beautiful under pressure. Whenever you feel crushed, broken, under pressure or in severe trial, always remember that you are in a great place of transformation. Trust the process as my wife and I have had to in recent times. Turn those trials into gold!

I was hard in areas of my life and ministry for many years. Then the Lord said this to me sometime ago during a time of worship:

“Give birth to tenderness. Give birth to weeping. Give birth to the compassion of Jesus. Go into the Holy of Holies. Stand in the place where the Son of man has gone, and feel and be touched with the infirmities of man. Go in there, hard man, and be turned to tenderness. Give place to the things of My Spirit that you’ve been denied. Time and time again you’ve come, but you’ve never gone far enough. Worship Me now and love will transform you.” (Prophetic utterance)

This has become my latter life quest. It is a magnificent move of God in the hearts of every saint who has learned to worship Jesus in spirit and in truth.

Here is a marvelous quote on love from John G. Lake:

“The greatest manifestation of the Holy Ghost baptized life ever given to the world was not in the preaching of the apostles; it was not in the wonderful manifestations of God that took place at their hands. It was in the unselfishness manifested by the church. Think of it!  Three thousand Holy Ghost baptized Christians in Jerusalem from the day of Pentecost onward who loved their neighbors’ children as much as their own, who were so anxious for fear their brethren did not have enough to eat, that they sold their estates, brought the money, laid it at the apostles’ feet and said, ‘Distribute it. Carry the glow and the fire and the wonder of this divine salvation to the whole world.’  That showed what God had wrought in their hearts. Oh, I wish we could arrive at that place, where this church were baptized to that degree of unselfishness.”

This is my burden for all saints:

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment, that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless till the day of Christ being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God” (Philippians 1:9-10).

May you do everything in love today and always, and never ever be offended or harbor any bitterness, hardness of heart, or unforgiveness in your heart.

“Let all that you do be done with love” (1 Cor. 16:14).

A love for the saints is special because it is heavenly, eternal, and endless. The love for sinners may not be and that’s why our hearts should break with love and compassion over their fatal condition. The Scriptures do not speak acutely of love for sinners, only sparingly. However, there are plenty of “one anothering” scriptures for the saints.

It needs to strike you deeply that we are going to be together forever.

That’s a big reason why I love you so much. ❤️❤️❤️
