1$Every monthÂ
The 12 followed Jesus closely before He called them friends. He taught them and showed them who God was. He drew from the deep wells of His fellowship with the Father.
He told them to freely give what they had received, but He also told them not to cast pearls before swine (pigs), or give that which is holy to the dogs (Matthew 7:6).
Pigs and dogs are people, even so-called Christians, who violate or misuse that which is regarded as holy and sacred.
“Don’t give something that is holy to dogs. They will only turn and hurt you. And don’t throw your pearls to pigs. They will only step on them.”
Here is how the Message Bible says it:
“Don’t be flip with the sacred. Banter and silliness give no honor to God. Don’t reduce holy mysteries to slogans. In trying to be relevant, you’re only being cute and inviting sacrilege.”
For example, when you offer something for free often it is not valued. Eternal things are holy and precious. Not everyone should be given access to them. The Prayer Jotter is like that. It is full of pearls of great price, and gems from the wisdom of God.
It’s time to enter into the classroom of the Holy Spirit.
