INCREASING YOUR DISCERNMENT

I received my prayer language sitting in the last row of a UPC meeting (United Pentecostal/“Jesus only” people). In spite of poor doctrine concerning the Trinity I still received. And what I received were “divers tongues”. Rivers of living water flowed from my innermost being. It felt so good that it was hard to stop. From that day in early 1981 until now I’ve prayed in tongues quite a lot. I enjoy it. For me, it’s not drudgery or a grind to flow in that supernatural language. In fact, it deepens with use. Praying in tongues is both a purifying fire and a devouring fire. It has kept me sensitive to the counterfeit in all phases. Fake doctrine. Fake manifestions. Fake ministers.

For example, there is a minister who abused his wife and ran off and married another woman. In fact, there are too many examples of this. Yet these charlatans continue to be followed by the droves and maintain their persona and platform. Why? Because people want their king, and they will defend his throne. Sometimes I just want to throw up  over the gullibility of some Christians.

Demons can disguise fake manifestations. The other day I was watching a YouTuber with many followers read people’s minds on the streets. He would tell people to think of something or someone and then tell them exactly what they were thinking. What?! Yes! Where do you think that person was getting this knowledge? From a demon!  That demon has a name. He is a familiar spirit.

Have you ever been in a meeting and had a creepy feeling? Something was off but you couldn’t put your finger on it. That is the anointing trying to teach you. He is alerting you to a fake manifestation to protect you from it. If you hang around demonic spirits long enough you slip further and further into deception until that creepy feeling becomes normal to you.

Praying much in other tongues has given me constant victory over this kind of deception. I can listen to a minister for 5 minutes and tell you where he is spiritually. I could name at least five wife abusers who are popular in mainstream Christianity. It has nothing to do with whether they are harsh or nice.

Strange flesh is everywhere these days. They are pushed by demons to perform. As soon as they are introduced by some grand title they seek to live up to that title with performance. Performance accommodates demons.

Pray much in the Holy Ghost beloved and you will rise above the physical senses and increase your discernment.

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
