BEYOND THE VEIL: WHY ARE SO MANY LEADERS CLOSING THE VEIL

The veil was rent in two so we could come to God without a human mediator. Closing the veil is the spirit of religion that tells us we need to go through a man or a program. There is no more condemnation to anyone who is in Christ Jesus.

To put religion and man's traditions above the fellowship of what every believer should enjoy is a judgment of the heart and a  denial of what our great High Priest accomplished. Under the glorious New Covenant we are all priests. This religious spirit was the spirit on the earth that was always confronting Jesus and the manifestation of His love, compassion, and power. “Who does He think He is healing and forgiving man’s sins?” they scoffed.

Beyond the open veil is the very presence of God and access into all the eternal treasures hidden in Christ, and through the centuries of time, religion has always attempted to shut that veil. True freedom comes to the one who believes and knows they have free access to Jesus. Beyond the veil is the secret to kingdom increase.

The religious and traditional mind-sets that have been put into the hearts of saints is the work of a well disguised Pharisaical spirit that says: “Do this. Don’t do that. You must come when the doors are open, etc.” This is the mind-set of carnal man.

The Word says to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, not to necessarily come to a building or auditorium (Hebrews 10:25). There will be some in the auditorium who will not fall away because they’ve been taught to depend solely on a man and not go into the Holy of Holies for themselves. We don't need man's permission to meet with the Lord as a family or a group around our dinner table or in our living room.

Many get offended by their brethren and leave the assembly, and for some, the hurt and offense is so deep they also, unfortunately, leave God. A few have even renounced their faith. We must teach them to get their eyes off man and show them the access into the presence of the Perfect One. It is necessary and important that the young ones (babes in Christ) know how to go into that place in the Spirit for themselves, even as I was trained and went to a local assembly and learned to move with that body.

The key is to train them to move into the Spirit and access the Presence of God on their own. Once they learn that, they can be established as strong trees of righteousness. Never does it benefit a saint when he is led by  the wisdom of man. We must point them to the open veil and complete access. For it is the pray-ers who make intercession for the maturity of the saints and help the unlearned ones gain entrance and come through, and it’s the elders who should be encouraging them to move on in beyond the veil. We can never let them or ourselves be satisfied with playing church because Christ is being formed in us. We are a royal priesthood called to show forth His praises and demonstrate His love and power.

Instead of having an Old Covenant mentality when Israel had no access beyond the veil, but only the high priest, and that but once a year, we teach all saints to enter and stay. It’s a minister’s place and responsibility to draw them on in and enjoy God’s Presence. The Holy of Holies is now in our spirits to be enjoyed 24/7. We are God’s house. We are God's temple. There are always saints who want to move on to that glorious place of fellowship.   That is the only place we are truly rooted and grounded in the Lord.

BEWARE OF THE BEWITCHING

That’s why it is such a bewitching place to put our dependence on man.

“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?” (Galatians 3:1-3)

The elders will not always be there for the saints, so they must be taught to go beyond the veil on their own. The bewitching spirit that closes the veil and makes it hard for saints to access the presence of the Lord is diabolical. We do this when we make them dependent on us as leaders. It is the same spirit that Jesus found in the temple of old when He overthrew the tables and drove out the money changers. We’ve got to keep the saints moving toward  the Lord where they are at home with Him. He is the door! The only door! And we all have free access to Him through His shed Blood. The seeker-friendly philosophy closes the door and tells you that you can only have partial access by toning down on the Holy Spirit and His workings. God is in the midst of His people, not behind a veil.

(This chapter was birthed from a vision my wife Carolyn had of leaders standing in front of a veil and pulling it shut. There was confusion and bewilderment in those who were used to free access, but now had been blocked and bewitched by man.)

Bert Farias' books are forerunners to personal holiness, the move of God and the return of the Lord. They also combat the departure from the faith and the turning away from the truth we are seeing in our day. His recent five-book bundle, written under a fresh anointing, is a forerunner of what the Lord is doing in His church today. His most read books are Cleansing The Temple and The Tumultuous 2020s and Beyond.

The books that will supplement this article are The Journal of a Journey to His Holiness, Prayer: The Language of the Spirit, and his most recent, TONGUES: The Elevation of a Mystery. All available here or on AMAZON.

Don't forget to subscribe to our SCHOOL OF PRAYER which will also aid you in learning to access the presence of the Lord and enjoy Him. This is a weekly, year-long school to awaken the saints to prayer and deeper fellowship with God.
