DO NOT NEGLECT THIS SPIRITUAL OPERATION

There’s an operation in every believer’s heart that is a demonstration of the Spirit that is written of in 1 Cor. 2:4-5.

"And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."

The believer's faith must be established in this spiritual operation.

Ephesians 5:18-19 and Colossians 3:16 is how every believer can come into the demonstration of the Spirit by moving and singing/speaking in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with their spirits and with their understanding (1 Cor. 14:13-15)

"And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord..."

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Someone asked the late Kenneth E. Hagin at the end of his life if he had any regrets. He replied that he wished he had taught more on the importance of this spiritual operation.

Both Carolyn and I began our walk with the Lord this way. Revelation was given concerning our callings and we became bold witnesses for Christ - all because there was an operation of moving in the Spirit this way in our own hearts. We’d sing new songs and songs we already knew; we’d sing in the Spirit and with our understanding, too.

These are spiritual activities that help mature the believer into becoming a mature son and daughter of God. This is one of those spiritual activities.

CONVERSATIONAL PRAYER BERT & CAROLYN

"For so many are looking for the great big open door to go and preach, but oh, if they would learn and understand these things I’ve trained you in they would sing and partake of this operation of the Spirit. And even that which you’ve written about, making praying a lifestyle, they will learn how to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21), and learn to be led by the Spirit and how to move in the Spirit with Me.

"But it’s these things that people (believers) count as little and insignificant and ineffective, not understanding the importance of what they do and who they are in Me."

"And so begin, even as you did this weekend, saying and reiterating these things I’ve shown you and demonstrating to them how easy it is to move with Me, and not to despise that which I call wise."

To be full of the Spirit is to be wise.

"And then they shall see these things in their lives and an unfolding of a step by step operation of who they are in Me.

"For some are called to preach and teach and to move in the Spirit and prophesy, but they are learned through this operation that I’ve made clear and available in My Word and is a part of what I’ve called every believer to do.

"And as you show them and as they learn I will surely begin to move in a pinpoint accuracy in who they are in Me, for I see these things bringing accuracy into their lives, homes, ministries, and that which they serve in now. For out of these operations will begin to move the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and the gifts of the Spirit that are seen in My Word.

"So we will hearken unto these things, Father, and share and obey them.

"That is why this was on my heart again because this is important, even to these new ones coming up to understand.

"And even our own son who has been around these things and tasted of them needs to be fully convinced of the importance of them (he’s in a good place now and will hear and heed these things).

"For even king David when he was young would speak of his life and trials in his songs, but later turned to things in the Word and what I, the Lord, said and was showing him. For in this practice one comes out of the soul and the "I, me, selfish attitude", and comes into the "You, God", attitude (from a self focus to a God focus).

"For one who is immature will sing about their trials and their tests and the things they go through (soulish things that are mental assent), but when they come into a heart maturity and the Word fills them, so then will come the increase of their sonship, and it is then heard in the psalm or song of the one singing who is growing and maturing.

"For they no longer sing about their pains and all their hurts and all their trials, but they begin to rehearse that You are the glory and lifter of their heads. You are the One who makes them an overcomer; You are the One who causes them to triumph in all things in Christ. Then their song truly becomes the Song of the Lord, and not just the song of “me” or “I”.

"And this is where you can even hear the songs that are written today that there is an anointing on some, and on others there is not, because some stay in that soulish realm and only sing of their trials and the knowledge of who they are in the natural realm. Oh, but when you hear a song that causes your spirit to triumph and sing along, and causes your spirit to rise up into a higher place and authority, and even a realm of the Spirit as it may seem, like you go from glory to glory…

"That is because that song was written out of a spirit that has learned and matured in Me and has renewed their minds with the Word that comes out in a psalm, a hymn, and a spiritual song.

"For even as you hear the songs you received and sang as a new believer in the early beginnings, and then those that came after, which had a stronger and deeper meaning, it is a reflection of the growth of the spirit of the man that has given over to that operation."

Bert Farias' books are forerunners to personal holiness, the move of God and the return of the Lord. They also combat the departure from the faith and the turning away from the truth we are seeing in our day. His recent five-book bundle, written under a fresh anointing, is a forerunner of what the Lord is doing in His church today. His most read books are Cleansing The Temple and The Tumultuous 2020s and Beyond.

The books that will supplement this article are The Journal of a Journey to His Holiness, Prayer: The Language of the Spirit, and his most recent, TONGUES: The Elevation of a Mystery. All available here or on AMAZON.
